Updating your Team Admin/Coach profile

This guide walks you through updating your profile info on SportCerts — your name, contact info, and other account details.


Who this is for

Any Admin/Coach who needs to update their profile information.


What you can update from your profile

From your coach profile page, you can update:

  • Your name (first and last)

  • Your phone number

  • Your headshot (see the article on uploading your coach headshot for the full walkthrough)

Other account details, like your email address and password, are managed separately:

  • Password: see the article on setting your password and logging in for the first time

  • Email address: contact support to change the email on your account


Steps

  1. Log in at sportcerts.com.

  2. Click your name or photo in the top right corner.

  3. Choose Coach Profile (or go directly to sportcerts.com/coach/profile).

  4. Update any of the fields available — name, phone, etc.

  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

Your updated profile appears across the platform immediately, including on your coach card.


Notes

  • Your name appears on your coach card. Use the name event staff and parents will recognize you by.

  • Phone number is optional. Some organizations may ask for it for direct communication, but SportCerts itself uses email for all platform notifications.

  • Email changes require support. Because your email is how you log in, we don't allow self-serve email changes. Contact support to update it.

Troubleshooting

The Save button isn't working. Check your internet connection. If the page is unresponsive, try refreshing and entering your changes again.

My name on the coach card didn't update. Refresh the coach card page. If it still shows the old name, try logging out and back in. Contact support if the issue persists.

I can't find the profile page. Look in the top right corner of your dashboard — click your name or photo and choose Coach Profile. You can also go directly to sportcerts.com/coach/profile.

A field is grayed out and I can't edit it. Some fields (like email) aren't editable from the profile page. Contact support if you need to change them.

Will updating my name affect my teams or events? No. Your teams, rosters, and event registrations stay the same — only your name display updates.

Can I update my profile from my phone? Yes. The coach profile page works on mobile browsers.

What if I changed my legal name? Update your name on the profile page. If your name on past event records also needs to change (for example, on already-printed packets), contact support.

Can I add a profile bio or notes about my coaching background? Not currently. The profile is limited to identity fields (name, phone, photo). Bio fields aren't supported.

Can I update my profile if I have both Admin/Coach and Parent roles? Yes. Profile updates apply to your single account, regardless of which role is active. Your name and headshot are shared across both roles.

Can I change my coach card design or layout? No. The card design is standardized across the platform.

Do my parents or organization get notified when I update my profile? No. Profile updates are silent.
