Downloading your team's roster card packet
This guide walks you through downloading the printable card packet for your team — a multi-page PDF with your coach card, staff cards, and player cards, ready to print and bring to an event.
Who this is for
Admin/Coaches who need a physical or digital copy of their team's full card set for an event check-in.
What's in a card packet
Your team's card packet is a single PDF that includes:
Your coach card
Staff cards for each staff member you've added
Player cards for every Verified player on your roster
A QR code on each Verified player's card, which event staff can scan to confirm verification
Players who aren't Verified won't have a complete card — they'll show a "needs verification" placeholder instead.
The PDF is laid out in landscape, letter-size, with multiple cards per page, so you can print on standard paper and cut them out if you want.
Before you start
You'll need:
Your SportCerts login
Your team already created with at least some players on the roster
A printer if you want physical copies (optional — many events accept the digital PDF on your phone)
Steps
Step 1 — Open your team
Log in at sportcerts.com.
From your coach dashboard, open the team you want a packet for.
Step 2 — Download the packet
On the team's roster page, click Download Card Packet.
The PDF is generated — this can take 5–15 seconds depending on roster size.
The file saves to your device automatically.
Step 3 — Print or bring digitally
To print: open the PDF and use your device's print function. Print on letter-size paper, landscape orientation, at 100% scale.
To bring digitally: save the PDF to your phone or tablet. Most events accept it on screen at check-in.
Notes
Only Verified players appear with full cards. Players who are Pending, Unverified, Expired, or Denied will show a placeholder card. Make sure your roster is up to date before downloading.
Player photos come from headshots uploaded by parents. If a player's headshot is missing (or hasn't been uploaded after migration), their card shows a placeholder instead.
You can download a fresh packet anytime. The PDF reflects your current roster at the moment you download it.
Re-download for events. Roster changes (new players, updated headshots) won't update an old PDF. Always download fresh just before an event.
Troubleshooting
The Download Card Packet button isn't doing anything. Card packets are generated in your browser — give it 5–15 seconds. If it still doesn't work, refresh and try again, or switch to a different browser.
The PDF is missing some players. Only players on your current roster appear. If a player you added isn't showing, refresh your roster page first, then re-download. If they're still missing, contact support.
The PDF download fails on my phone. Try downloading on a desktop or laptop instead. Some mobile browsers struggle with large PDFs. If you must use mobile, try a different browser (Chrome and Safari work best).
Cards are showing placeholders where headshots should be. Those players don't have headshots uploaded yet. The parent needs to log in and upload one — see the parent help center article on uploading a headshot.
The QR codes don't scan. Make sure you're printing at 100% scale, not "fit to page." Shrinking the QR code can make it unreadable. If digital, make sure the screen brightness is up.
The PDF looks distorted when printed. Print at letter-size, landscape, 100% scale. Don't use "fit to page" — it can stretch the cards.
My coach card isn't showing. Make sure you've uploaded your coach headshot. See the article on uploading your coach headshot.
FAQ
Do I need to print my card packet, or can I just bring it on my phone? Most events accept the digital PDF on your phone or tablet. Some events prefer or require printed copies — check with the event director.
How often should I download a fresh packet? Whenever your roster changes — new players, removed players, updated headshots, or status changes. Just before an event is the safest time.
Can a parent or staff member download the packet? No. Card packets are downloaded by the head coach.
Why are some players showing placeholders instead of cards? The most common reasons are: the player isn't Verified yet, or the player doesn't have a headshot uploaded by their parent.

Are the cards waterproof or laminated? You print and laminate them yourself if you want. SportCerts only provides the digital PDF.
Does the packet include coach and staff cards every time? Yes. The packet always includes your coach card and any staff you've added, alongside player cards.
Can I customize what's on the cards? Card design is standardized across the platform. You can't customize colors, layouts, or fields.
